TEENAGE beauty Jade Duffy could soon be a familiar face as she heads into the final of a national modelling competition.
The 14-year-old Boldon School pupil is in the final 10 contestants to become the face of FEVA dance magazine.
It was Jade’s mum Helen who saw the advert for the competition while flicking through FEVA, and urged Jade to enter.
Jade had to send in a photo and write down her motto, which was: “A winner never quits and a quitter never wins. Wouldn’t it be great, wow!” And it seemed to do the trick, as weeks later the magazine’s bosses called to tell her the good news.

Jade, who lives with her mum, 38, dad Paul, 41, and nine-year-old sister Lois, in Boldon Colliery, said: “I was so surprised, I really didn’t expect anything to come of it. “I’m not getting my hopes up, but it would be great to win.
“All I’ve ever wanted to do was to be a dancer and I can’t believe I’ve got a chance to become the face of a dance magazine.”
The winner will feature on the front cover of FEVA, and will also be a regular model for the London-based magazine.
Jade’s dance speciality is freestyle and she is a member of the Sarah Howe Cookson School of Dance.
Mrs Duffy said: “The whole family is over the moon, we know a lot of people went forward to it, so to get to this stage was fantastic. “Since being at the Sarah Howe School of Dance, she has really gained more confidence, she gets great teaching there. “I don’t think she would have entered a few years ago, but I’m glad she did this year.”
